The Clover Nook Waste Transfer Station has been constructed and is operational.
It receives up to 50,000 tonnes per annum of Derbyshire’s Municipal Solid Waste delivered by waste collection vehicles from Amber Valley Borough Council, Bolsover District Council, Chesterfield Borough Council, Derbyshire Dales District Council and North East Derbyshire District Council. This local facility will reduce the amount of vehicles needed to transport waste collected from the doorstep to its final disposal / treatment point – minimising carbon dioxide emissions and providing financial savings.
